Melanie has been with me since the days that I shaped for H.I.C (hawaiian island creations) Melanie was my star female rider when I coached the Hawaii World Team. In the year 2000, I took Melanie to Portugal for the world championships. Mel took the bronze 3rd place title that year. At the same competition that year I had Joel Centeio who was the world champion. Melanie has always been part of the elite surfing crew and we have a signature line of boards that we developed just for her.
